While searching for some old photos in HDD in area I reserved for my work done in 'edobe PhotoShop' I found this following photo which once upon a time I made in 'Microsoft Paint' of 'Microsoft Windows 98' which was running over 'Pentium 2'.

Now I do not remember very much about this photo's background. Although I remember something about it like I remember I was making it. There are two Date and Time about this photo. First is displaying on it and Second is '2013 Aug 19 Mon _ PST 5:41:41 PM' displayed for 'Created', 'Modified' and 'Accessed' fields on watching it's property. Both are almost same and I think this was the time when I added watermark and logo to photo in 'edobe Photoshop CS5.5' running on 'Windows 7' running on 'i5' but when I actually made it in 'Paint' running on 'Windows 98' running on 'Pentium 2' I do not remember. All this means I made this photo a few years before 2013. Whenever I will have access to this photo on HDD of Pentium 2 I will see property of this photo there to get better idea.

After every few years whenever I reach on this photo (Some how I keep reaching on this photo) on different HDDs i like it and watch it for some time. May be because I did it for the first time in this photo. It still looks very good to me and that is the reason I am writing this blog post to share it online.

I am writing this blog post and at the same time trying to remember how I made this photo but nothing is coming to my mind not even a hint in any direction. But I will keep trying.

I was just practicing on online-image-editor and look what I made

Looks good to me but I am not going to use it anywhere.

This photo brought an old memory in my mind.

Something once I made for my geocities account banner,

But that was made via pure html.

Today I updated images for youtube channel art, google+ cover and blogger/blogspot blog banner.

First I searched on google and got some ideas from net then tried to make images on different sites online. But was not able to do so. There for searched for tried and tested site and then made these images with the help of site picturetopeople.. It is simple to work with.

Most of work was done online in online-image-editor. I am using this site for some time now. It is good. Firstly I used it for making images transparent easily. Alittle bit of work is done in ms paint.

Nothing is final. So today I updated header photo here. Now it is showing it's creater and date/time of creation also.

TEdit - Text editor in GW-Basic

TEdit - Text editor in GW-Basic

"TEdit" was name of Text Editor once I made in "GW-Basic" running on dos 2.x running on PC 286 with 1 MB ram. I do not know how and why but day before yesterday it came to my mind. I made that text editor to simulate EDIT from Microsoft and some features from Turbo C 2 IDE. And experience was very enjoyable.

Entire code of "TEdit" was running around a small loop checking for keyboard input. From that loop program was branching to subroutines on demand and there were a lot of subroutines. In "GW-Basic" program size limit was 64k and "TEdit" was touching that limit.

.

During and after making "TEdit" I was really feeling proud of myself because of  it’s features.

.

I want to, but cannot put any screen shots of “TEdit” here because I do not have any. Although I do have “TEdit” but have no computer to run it. Because “TEdit” was saved on floppy disk 720K (double-density), only storage device attached to my that PC 286.

.

And after “TEdit” came to my mind and I wrote about it here, also came into my mind a chess game also made by me in "GW-Basic" running on Dos 2.x running on PC 286  with 1 MB ram.

.

I was really excited when that chess game for the first time made a move on it's own. It's size was also near 64k and most of it's lines were near 255 bytes long (max limit for code line).

.

I still really love that setup and time. Then I used to dream of making an OS for pc also.

.

[ Note: Whenever I remember their correct date, I'll share that here. Also whenever I will be able to run these softwares I will share their screen shots here. ]

If there are any mistakes then I will surely remove them whenever found.
