Around 3
decades ago, now I do not remember why exactly, but I still do remember
that I was thinking / planning about having some quality facilities all over
Pakistan. Those facilities included (a) University (b) Hospital
(c) Sports complex. Idea was to have each of these in every Division of Pakistan.

Details (salient features) of above mentioned facilities are described in the following paragraphs.

(a)_ University:
|
|
Idea was to build a large general purpose University in each Division of Pakistan with following features: |
|
University will be responsible for providing Formal education (Preschool
[Kindergarten, Nursery], Primary [Elementary], Secondary, Graduate [Bachelor],
Master [Postgraduate], PhD [Doctorate] and Diploma etc at different levels) and
Vocational education (Diploma and Certificates etc) to all people living in it's
domain. |

University will have a network of colleges, schools and technical and
vocational training institutes distributed all over division. |
| For governing, managing,
regulating each level of education there will be separate sub-system in the
University. |
|
Where and when required University and it's sub-set's facilities specially labs and
libraries will remain open and working 24/7. |
|
University will itself make syllabus, curriculum for it's own use. University's
own staff will write books etc for use in the University. |
| These Universities will
also provide good job opportunities to people of respective division. |

now I remember how and why I reached on above mentioned "University" idea. Then
in one evening while strolling in sadder area near Empress market, in
Karachi, and browsing 2nd hand and in some case may be nth hand old books on
roadside book stalls my eyes fell on a relatively new looking book. I picked it
up. According to it's title it was a guide to admission in USA universities,
colleges, schools etc. As far I remember I bought it for Rs15 after
bargaining. Came home read it in detail. I was greatly surprised / impressed /
amazed to know there were so
many universities. For example even in one city NYC there were around 20
universities. That information made me to think. But it was not financially
possible to have so many universities in Karachi. So I made idea of starting with
having one University per Division. |

(b)_ Hospital:
|
|
Idea was to build a large general purpose hospital in each Division of Pakistan with following features: |
| Hospital will have a network of
smaller size sub-hospitals and clinic's
distributed all over division. |
|
All hospitals and clinics will remain open and working 24/7. |
| Patient will not
necessarily require to pay
at the time of reporting at hospital for getting any service from hospital. Although patient will compulsory require to pay it's dues afterwards.
Governament will pay for those who can not pay. |
|
Hospital and clinic's building will be made to look good and graceful with enough greenery in and around them. |
|
Division's people will be registered to their nearest hospital, clinic for
normal use whereas main
Hospital will be used for only expensive treatments. |
| These Hospitals will
also provide good job opportunities to people of respective division. |

now I remember how and why I reached on above mentioned "Hospital" idea.
Since I first saw a good looking hospital of Karachi (AKUH) I liked it's building
from inside and outside with it's overall environment. And that liking made me
to make an idea of starting with
having one such Hospital per Division. |

(c)_ Sports complex:
|
|
Idea was to build a
trim down version of Olympic Park (Sport facilities complex and Village) type of
facility called "Division-name Sports Park" in each Division of Pakistan with following features: |

This system will provide Sports facilities through out division with it's sub
systems comprising different play grounds and training centers. |
| This system will create and
maintain club system within division for facilitating sports activities. This
system will conduct club level tournaments throughout division and conduct final
phase of that
competition in Divisional Sports park. |
| Divisional Sports Parks will
also host it's parent Province's Provincial games and Pakistan's national
games on round robin basis. |
| These Sports complexs will
also host any other Regional, National and
International sports events
also. |
| These Sports complexes will
also periodically host International sports events in which foreign Players from countries from
any one
global sub-region will participate. In these tournaments Pakistan's national level
players will take part. |
| These Sports complexes will
also provide good job opportunities to people of respective division. |

now I remember how and why I reached on above mentioned "Sports complex" idea.
During those days as I watched Asian games and Olympic games and their beautiful
main Stadiums (eg. Seoul Olympic Stadium, South Korea) an urge developed inside me to have these type of things in
Pakistan also. And that urge made me to make an idea of
having such Sports complex per Division. |
